Laura started her law career as a lawyer throughout Minnesota in Minnesota and New York handling cases ranging from intellectual property disputes to First Amendment issues to Defamation and Media law. Laura later served in the public sector as a Federal Prosecutor in the United States Department of Justice. She was a Trial Attorney in the Civil Rights Division of the Department of Justice during the Bush and Obama administrations, focusing on the protection of voter rights across the country. In addition, she served as an Assistant United States District Attorney for District of Columbia.
