She was born Christina Haack in Anaheim, California on July 9 1983. She began her career in real estate after graduating from school. That's how she met her future husband Tarek El Moussa. This couple enjoyed great success until 2008's stock market crash which saw many real-estate investors and home flippers go bankrupt. Tarek El Moussa, Christina El Moussa, and Tarek El Moussa, lost the majority of their assets as a result of the 2008 stock market crash. The cost of their apartment was $700 per week, compared to the $6,000 they had been spending per month on their home. Their business, and the economy in general, slowly recovered. HGTV and Rise to Fame In 2011 Tarek requested a colleague to help him make an HGTV audition tape which showed him and Christina the process of flipping houses from the beginning to the end. The tape landed in the hands of executives at an production firm called Pie Town Productions. These executives were fascinated by Christina's story of love between Tarek and Christina. The couple officially signed a contract with HGTV in 2012. Flip of Flop premiered April 2013 Over seven seasons between 2013 and 2017 the show broadcast 92 episode. Christina and Tarek purchased homes located in Orange County that were usually homes with a middle-income. They then spent several weeks renovating the house so that they can flip it into a profitable return. Tarek concentrates more on remodeling and demolishment, while Christina is in charge of design.
